2. Use least restrictive measures first such as hand mitts
3. If you must use restraints ensure you are assessing your pt. frequently for injury. In this video they recommended to check on your pt. eveyr 2 hours but thats too long. Check hospital policy or your text book but every 30 min. is reasonable.
